Rub a dub dub, 3 kids in a....

pack-and-play?

I think they may have exceeded the weight limit for that thing....

Naptime?

Sadie got a new doll - and a doll bed - for her birthday....they just might inspire her to nap again!

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentine's Day. We broke out the conversation hearts for breakfast and the kids had a fun time following the directions they were given, like "Hug Me" or "Kiss Me." Sam thought the one that said "Yes" was hilarious, and then nearly fell on the floor laughing when Sadie's next one read "Maybe." I'm not exactly sure what was so funny about that, but they certainly enjoyed it.

We had some jello hearts for snack this afternoon....it is so fun how easily entertained they are with regular food cut into shapes.

Happy Lunar New Year!

We celebrated with Chinese food for dinner (the blizzard prevented me from getting to the Korean grocery store for Sam's favorite noodles.....though he was still quite happy with orange chicken and rice) and red envelopes.

Here is Sam's envelope - he refused to let me get a picture of his face.

And here is Sadie - gladly showing her face, but refusing to show her red envelope.

Well....if I get to lick it then maybe you can see it.....

T-shirt Tradition II, 2011

Every year we take a picture of the kids on (or close to) their birthdays wearing an old t-shirt of ours, as a way to show how much they have grown since the year before.

Here is Sadie this year.

This is last year.

And the year before that. (When she turned 2 - the first birthday she celebrated with us.)

What to do during a blizzard

The only logical thing - take off most of your clothes and paint your nails!

Then we made some snow ice cream - a new treat around here.

Joe looked at me like I was crazy: "You spend so much time telling them NOT to eat snow when they are playing in it and now you are encouraging them to?"

I informed the kids we only eat snow in snow ice cream, which is only made during a blizzard, and only from the snow that Mom gets (because, of course, moms know where the clean snow is).

Sam wanted to know how I knew what snow was clean.

Just go with it, little boy, and enjoy the fact I am letting you eat snow!
