Sadie got flowers on her birthday from Grandmommie and Grandaddy - she saw them by the front door when we got home from school and declared them her "secret treasure" that was waiting for her.
There was also a balloon, which she proceeded to treat as her new best friend, toting it around the house with her, talking to it, and even putting it in time out. (I'm not exactly sure what it did wrong.)
