Cradle Mountain pictures

So - the book and teacher's guide are done for work, so here begins the great blog picture catch-up....

Here is Sadie in love with the fact that she has a real seatbelt on on the shuttle bus.
Sam was pretty excited, too.

A family picture in front of Cradle Mountain. Don't the kids look thrilled? And we hadn't even started hiking yet!

Sam in front of the sign reminding us to sign in before we leave on a hike. And so we signed in....
Our first hike was to an old boat house about 10-15 minutes around Dove Lake to the right of our starting point. There was a picture very similar to this at our hotel, so Joe got one just like it, but with Sadie in the picture.

After the boat house, our next destination was this big rock, Glacier Rock, about 10-15 minutes around the lake to the left of our starting point.
Sam and Joe atop the big rock. There was no way I was letting Squirmy Sadie anywhere near being anywhere close to the edge of it, so she and I were on camera duty.
This was a wallaby having his dinner right outside the patio door of our hotel room.
The following day we did a few short hike before heading home. Sadie is thrilled to be posing with me in front of the waterfall (below).
Sam did a good job of leading the way.

When we complimented Sam on being a good big brother and taking good care of Sadie he informed us, "She is taking care of me too. We take care of each other."
