July just flew by - Afternoon with Z

Our friend Zara came to visit one July afternoon and helped me get the kids excited about our slip-n-slide.

I had bought it a couple weeks earlier but our first attempt was a disaster: Sadie ran inside screaming and Sam gave up after a couple attempts at sliding left him stranded 1/3 of the way down the slide.

So - this time I added a little liquid soap to increase the slippery-ness and all was good. Here comes Sam...
...and Sadie...
...and Zara!
Then the girls spent a good half hour painting the patio with water.
It's the simple things that are the most fun!
